More Pastel Drawings

Continuing with my pastel drawings, I am really enjoying doing these at the moment, I needed a little break from painting.

Pastel Drawings

I felt like a change from painting today so decided to do some quite large pastel drawings. The paper measures 57cm x 77cm, quite large for me. I managed to do three but have only photographed two of them, it was getting dark by the time I finished the third. I really enjoyed doing them it was quite exciting just to let go and have fun.

Small Paintings

Currently working on some small affordable paintings to put in my shop that I am hoping to open in the new year.

Oil, Pastel and Graphite on Paper
One problem I am having is photographing the work, the colours are not quite right, so if anyone has any tips I would be really grateful. The above painting is a little softer and more green.

Another Palette

More sketching and just having fun, not trying to think to much about the actual paintings but trying to get the colours and composition right. I am working on some paintings and will post some photos soon.

Colour Palette

Had a back to basics day yesterday, sketching with pencil, charcoal, ink and graphite, and then working on some colour palettes. It was a beautiful day sitting outside surrounded by all my lovely paints and pastels.

Sketchbook

I have had another good day in my studio working from the photographs of my recent holiday to Cornwall. These small sketches have been worked in watercolour and pastels.
