Clover Field

I have this strange obsession with dead plants, thought I would share with you my most recent find.

I don't know what the plant is so if anybody can enlighten me I would be grateful. A few weeks ago it looked like this.

The painting that I am working on currently is inspired by the lovely yellow ochre colour of these leaves.

  1. Sandra,
I've just found your blog and it is wonderful. What a source of inspiration. Your photographs are stunning. As for the plant, to me it looks like the seedheads of rose bay willow herb but the leaves are an unusual colour so I may be wrong. It grows by the roadside but can also be found cultivated in gardens.

  2. I looked up Rose Bay Willow herb and I think you are right. It is growing in a field by a road so that makes sense. Thanks so much for your very kind comments :)

  3. Yup, its willow herb all right. Really lovely images and I totally understand your dead plant obsession - they are so sculptural. Your blog has such a lovely ethereal feel - I really enjoy looking at it.
