Changing Times.

I must confess that not much painting has been done recently, only three more night paintings and each of them quite different.

I have also done a little bit of painting in my larger sketchbook and have photographed sections of this larger work, all of them are potential paintings.

Times are changing however, and from next week I will probably have less time to paint, my daughter is going back to work, and I will be looking after my Granddaughter three days a week. I am really looking forward to it and am ready for the challenges ahead.
Recently I have been attending a painting and drawing class just to brush up on my skills, I have found it really useful going over things that I had forgotten, it has also helped me to really look at what I am painting and to really see where my inspiration is coming from. I don't want to loose momentum so have decided to do an e course, Bloom True with Flora Bowley which starts next week, I am really excited because hopefully I will get to do some bigger paintings, my three large canvasses are ready and waiting. Not sure how much time I will have for blogging, but hopefully I will be able to do some quick visual posts.

  1. Sandra I love the mood of the last three paintings and especially the very last one.
How lovely to be looking after your grandaughter - but quite tiring I would imagine :-)
The painting course looks exciting and I do hope you have time to blog and let us know how you get on and all about the course. I have often wondered what these elearning courses are like.

    1. Thanks, Jacqui, I am looking forward to both challenges, I have had a couple of practise days with Emily and they have gone OK. I think my key word for next week will be organisation!! something I am not very good at. The e course does look fun and I am really excited to start, I just hope my timetable is going to work and that I don't just collapse in a heap on the days when I don't have Emily!!

  2. Your paintings are very interesting (as always), you certainly have your own and very unique style. I think this time I like the second one most - it looks as if something is emerging from a grey cloud, so I guess it's a painting with a secret or a hidden message.

I'm sure you will have fun looking after your granddaughter, that should be a nice change in your routine. I guess it might be tiring at first, yet the older she gets, the more things you will be able to enjoy doing together.

Oh, and don't forget to let us know about your e-course.

  3. Well your grand daughter is so lucky to spend so much time around such an artistic lady which will give her such a great start in life. I am sure she will also be a huge inspiration to you too. The photograph is totally gorgeous. I look forward to hearing how it all goes and I hope you manage to find some time to keep the blog going because I really feed off it and find it truly inspiring and refreshing. Good luck! from Niki, unifiedspace
