I have had a bit of a break from the night paintings, a combination of going to bed to late and a little lack of inspiration. The first two paintings are from my previous set before my break, and the following four are new.
Thanks for your very encouraging comment, I really like doing these night paintings, I wanted them to be free and fun and painted with not to much thought, so I am glad you can see this in them.
LOve your blossom the photos below... glorious and celebratory! In a way so are these... they seem to really celebrate the medium of watery colour... find them so animated and worthy of making a whole show of! WOW Sandra... more please!
Thanks so much for your comment Sophie, I love just sitting down at night with my sketch book and watercolours, so hopefully there are lots more to come. And I am loving the blossom at the moment, it has been very windy this weekend and there are lots of blossom flowers on the floor which I need to photograph before it disappears.
I like how your paintings have space and isolation yet they feel so happy.
ReplyDeleteI also admire your freedom with the brush.
Best wishes
