Pink and Green

The trees have been full with heavy blossom but sadly it is almost over, went out one more day to photograph. It has been so windy and the blossom has fallen and made a carpet on the ground. I picked up a windfall and thought about pink and green and blossom floating down from the trees.

  1. You have captured the sense of spring to perfection. (I can even smell the blossom!) I LOVE this painting.

  2. Your photographs are getting better and better, Sandra. I like the lawn covered in petals - would be a great scene for a romantic photo shoot. As for the artwork - it's very interesting, you have a vivid imagination, I don't think I could come up with pieces like that as I always need to have something real in front of me :)

  3. My goodness, those images are absolutely S T U N N I N G. The colours are divine and I love the way you have translated them into works of art. The image with the blossom & your painting & the dropped petals (11th down) gives me shivers its so beautiful. I would love to have a whole series of this work hanging in my house. I can just see them looking beautiful in a room painted white...dreamy. Where are you exhibiting your work? Do you sell your work through your blog?

    1. Thanks Niki for your wonderful comment it is so encouraging. As for the exhibiting and selling I am doing neither at the moment, I am not very good at the self promotional thing but when I have a good portfolio together I do intend to approach galleries. I am also thinking about adding a shop section to the blog, I think I need lessons on how to do all this!!

  4. Yes, I know self promotion goes completely against the grain BUT you have beautiful work that people want to buy so you are doing them a service if you make it easy to purchase. I really hope you put a shop up from the blog. How about a link through to either etsy or folksy?

    1. Yes I have thought about etsy which might be a good way to get started. My ultimate goal is to have a website and perhaps host my own shop but I need to look into this.

    2. Well that would be great. I know its quite a daunting task to self host (and quite an investment) but probably really worth it in the end. Would be great though.
