I have been running out of ideas on what to put in my blog, so I thought I would post about some of the artists I like.
Elaine Pamphilon is a painter and musician living in cornwall. She is inspired by many things from music and literature to still life and landscape, but mainly it is the cornish harbours, beaches, cliff tops and spectacular views that provide much of her inspiration. In a recent exhibition at
Godfrey and Watt in Harrogoate she featured some small pieces made directly onto old envelopes. I love the idea of creating something from unwanted items like old pamphlets letters and postcards etc.
